This RXP-X 260 wasn’t transformed all at once. Flowrider developed it over three years at the client’s request, adding parts at the right time. First the intake, exhaust and pump. Then fuel and cooling. Then boost, engine base, valve train and final calibration.

This approach builds performance without skipping steps. A Stage 4+ can be the end goal without being the starting point. Flowrider can develop a Sea-Doo progressively, based on budget, usage and desired performance level.

A big setup isn’t just more boost. It’s everything working around it.

Performance tested on water

83+ MPH, but the most impressive part is the acceleration and throttle response.

On the water, this RXP-X runs at 8,900 RPM, with approximately 15 PSI of boost and a tuned AFR. Top speed sits at 83+ MPH / 135+ km/h, depending on conditions.

The real character of the build is felt most at throttle reapplication. At 20 km/h or 60 km/h, the thrust comes immediately and keeps pulling. The 0–100 km/h is done in under 3.5 seconds based on testing.

Reliability is part of the setup, not just talk.

Before chasing more boost, Flowrider worked on the engine base. Full metrology validates measurements and critical tolerances before assembly. The forged engine, reinforced valve train and APR studs then provide a much more serious foundation to support the Stage 4+.

The injectors, fuel regulator, AFR, intercooler, thermostat and catch can are also part of the work. A high-performance build remains more demanding than a stock machine: proper fuel, regular inspections and closer maintenance intervals are essential.

At Flowrider, a big setup needs to be fast, but above all well-built and reliable.

The sound, the thrust, the response: everything changes.

This Stage 4+ can’t be understood through numbers alone. It’s felt from the moment you get back on the throttle. The exhaust is more present, the blow-off valve is heard at every release, and the response comes immediately, even when the machine is already moving.

The result is a Sea-Doo that’s more reactive, louder and much more mechanically engaged, while still built around a reinforced base and controlled calibration.
